To ensure the best quality interpretation, members of the Association:
Shall endeavor to secure satisfactory conditions of sound, lighting, ventilation, comfort, visibility of speakers and audiovisual material.
Shall not accept to interpret simultaneously without a booth or proper sound equipment, except in special circumstances which will not cause prejudice to the quality of their service.
When interpreting simultaneously in a booth, shall not work alone without being relieved by a colleague at specific time intervals.
Shall try to work in teams that avoid the systematic use of relay interpretation.
Shall offer other members of their team, any professional assistance needed to deliver an optimal service.
Shall request working documents prior to the meeting.
Shall request availability of texts to be read and written material to be handed out to the participants of the meeting
If necessary, shall request a written copy of the audiovisual material to be projected.
Shall not perform any duties for which they have not been hired.
